Stevie G leaving Liverpool at the end of the season.Candles are being lit all over the city.
I expect a minute's applause in the 8th minute at Anfield all next season.

Either that or the Kop will all wear slippers.

Some great football on MOTD tonight but oh my word, some shocking refereeing decisions.

Especially in the QPR/Swansea game. The ref and linesmen must have been on the piss the night before in the hotel.

Jones the ref at Liverpool was with them. His two pens for Pool were atrocious decisions.

SSN Headquarters yes HQ have been handed over to Stevie Stevie Gerrard Channel this morning. They have interviewed everyone from his PE Teacher to his dinner lady at the Lpool training ground. I understand they are trying to get a comment from the current Pope as John Paul II is dead. Same problem with Mrs Thatcher however Cameron has declined to comment. Norman Tebbit spoke glowingly about the hard work ethics of Scousers! Stevie Retirement Announcement  book is in print and the hardback 500 page version will be available in shops on Monday.

Call me a cynic but I think that Stevie Me may be open to persuasion regarding "just one more season".

I take it that the diving around, berating of refs and coming up well short of the required standard at international tournaments will be ignored by the media?

He's not retiring - and he's already rejected the two year deal that they offered him.

I assume that this is being announced now because he's pretty much decided where he is going next season and will be signing a pre-contract there this month.

Call me Mystic Meg but his perma tanned wife who appears to notify the press each time she books one of her numerous holidays and must be in the Guinness book of records for amounts of bikinis owned leads me to suspect a move to somewhere like LA Galaxy is more likely than somewhere like Zenit St Petersburg.

Won't Stevie Mee join an MLS club and then get loaned straight back to the bin dippers ? His gills will heal over if he leaves merseyside

Routledge's sending off at QPR was just ridiculous. Was Karl Henry booked for his potential leg breaking tackle before hand?

Reading his goodbye statement made me want to vomit. Honestly you'd think the Dali Lama the way he went on.
And what's so wrong with wanting to go to another Premier League club and daring to line up against Liverpool?
They're so precious up there.

I'm not sure but I think he's died.
