Sterling's was worse than Benteke because he had a proper swing at him:CB simply pushed Mason away.

Am I right in thinking that the ref who sent off Gabby is the same man who booked Fabregas for a dive when he was clearly fouled and should have awarded a pen to Chelsea against Southampton?

No that's was Anthony Taylor, Mason is the ref who failed to send off Walters for a foul on Baines when he was quite clearly the last man. They are all as bad as each other.

To be honest I don't think there's any conspiracy going on but making refs professional & paying them hasn't made the standards of refereeing any better. Also the constant upgrading of the types of 'offences' that now warrant a red card doesn't help nor the constant over reaction of 'injured' players & their team mates..

I see it every week, about half the results of games in the Premier League are directly influenced by wrong decisions by the officials. At the highest levels of the game we need the ability to challenge a decision at the time the decision is made. It's no good to us, 5 days after the match, that the PL agree Gabby's sending off was wrong. Where's the justice in that?

Apparently the FA have charged Jonjo Shelvey for flinging his arm into the face of Emre Can but they have decided not charge Raheem Sterling.

I've just kind of joked about it on another thread but thinking about it, maybe the ref has confirmed he saw it though it was all good fun and japes, but the other ref didn't see the Shelvey elbow. It's a bit of a farce all round really though.

1 up at HT. Second half should yield a few goals

Come on Leeds - we don't want yet another team getting promoted with a bloody drummer. Give Rudy Austin a shot in front of goal in the second half and hopefully he take drummer boy out with it!

Wouldn't mind Derby up. Relatively close away day to replace Leicester

Derby coming up would be good.

Leeds going down would be great.

Leeds going bust would be magnificent.

My Senior Partner is a Leeds fan. He hasn't wanted to talk about football much in the last few years for some strange reason.

I'd find it difficult to tell what he's talking about. Don't they usually communicate in grunts?
