It's interesting to see that Hull aren't doing too well. Much was made, including on here, about how positive they'd been in the summer window. Up until a few weeks ago, a lot in the footy community were talking up Steve Bruce. With England underwhelming in their last qualifier, talk always inevitably turns to Woy's successor. Fat Sam was of course mentioned, but so was Steve Bruce.

Well as things stand we're 4 points ahead of them and we're piss awful. We also finished above them last season despite Bruces "amazing" job.

I'd honestly forgotten about them completely until looking at the table just now. If I were Bruce I'd be looking over my shoulder. Given their spend, they should be doing better. There does seem to a constant fallacy that Hull are doing well and Bruce is doing a brilliant job. Okay, first season back and simply surviving is probably good enough (though they spent), but there's been no improvement.

Bruce always gets found out in the end. Every club he goes to it's the same story - he takes over, spends money and gets a season or two of (relatively) good results. Then it all goes tits up and he's out on his ear.

It's alway good fun to watch other games after we have won but a shame it doesn't happen too often.

In the end I think he tends to get found out at this level. He normally does alright in the Championship. If I were the Hull fans, scraping survival wouldn't satisfy me. Neither Ramirez or Ben Arfa seem to have done much either.

Steve Bruce has managed the almost unprecedented feat of losing at Villa Park twice this calendar year. Yes, kids, he's really that bad a manager.

All I care about tonight is that my dream team is flying.  Three goals from my two strikers and another from Hazard!

Am starting to wonder if City can still pose a threat to Chelsea?  As long as they don't fall more than six points behind then I think they still have a chance.  Its getting to the point where the top half might revert back to the predictable norm, with Arsenal starting to hit form too.  I can see them finishing at least third and then it will be one from three or four for 4th IMO.

None of Southampton, Swansea and West Ham will get top 4. Will probably be Arsenal, Man U or Liverpool. Plus ca change.

Didn't they win very comfortably to be one of only three teams to have won every game they've played?

I heard no talk anywhere of any replacements.

I have always said that it will either be Utd or Liverpool getting 4th.  But because of their erratic form recently and the surprise form of others I did start to question myself.  If Southampton get about six that is a great season for them, both Swansea and West Ham will see top ten as a good season.  Was thinking Everton could be an outside bet, don't see Spurs being anywhere near it this year.

Apparently because we made hard work of Slovenia(?) some were still calling for Woy and his outdated football to go. There wasn't masses of talk. A few footy site opinion pieces as much as anything. I recall someone championing Bruce and laughing at it.

That said as far as England go, we'll not see any indication of where we're at until a tournament. The qualification is a breeze and a bit of a joke.
