Everton and Martinez taking Europa League seriously with a very strong team out tonight. Overseas coaches almost always treat European games with respect unlike Brits. Good or bad example is Rodgers playing 7 reserves on Tuesday.

Have to laugh at Citeh. Spent about £600 million and are at the bottom of their Champions League group.

Just another soulless club now in a identikit stadium with players who would jump ship as soon as the money dried up. Like Chelsea really. Difference is Chelsea have mastered the art of throwing money season after season at players until, almost like a fruit machine, they inevitably achieve the right combination of players which wins them something. Then they start all over again. City haven't fine tuned that yet. Shame as they used to be a club I really respected with a real beating heart and soul and great supporters in the main.

I would consider four trophies including two league titles in the last three years as 'winning something'.

It took Chelsea nearly two decades of throwing money around before they won the Champions League.

There is only one place to be tonight from 7.30 and that is to see FA Cup Football return to the BBC.  Warrington against Exeter City.  Outside of my beloved Villa, this is what a call proper football! :)

Being a sad non-league geek I'm afraid the BBC's coverage is annoying me.

Patronising stuff about plumbers and postmen playing for Warrington - not one of them is either a plumber or a postman, one of them is a solicitor.

Getting basic facts wrong, there is no such league as the Evo-Stik Northern League. Do some bloody research!

Heard this morning - "This is Warrington's first time in the FA Cup" - No it isn't, they enter every year.

"The FA Cup starts here". Does it bollocks, I watched an FA Cup game on August 16th.

I'll still watch it though, hopefully Execreter will get walloped, and it will still be 1000% better than ITV's coverage over the last few years.

What pisses me off in my position as site assistant non-league geek is the idea that all non-league clubs are at roughly the same level. There are some who are better-run, better-supported and wealthier than a lot of League One & Two clubs while others are lucky to get double figure crowds. There's a bigger gap between the Conference and Midland Regional League division three than there is between Chelsea and Hartlepool.

I just watched the build up to the game on BBC 2 and now I know what you mean. It was a bit embarrassing to watch. Images of burger fans and people eating chips, and the thing that did it for me was the BBC bloke knocking on the Warrington dressing room door asking if they were ready. Awful.

I had to put it on mute until the game actually started though, there are only so many patronising comments about the smaller team and only so much Robbie Savage (the latter about 2 microseconds) that I can stand...and, oh, what's this...Chris Evans...is he suddenly a Warrington Town fan now? I don't remember hearing him mention his home town team before, funnily enough...

Come on BBC2 you haven't shown Ronnie Radford's f***ing goal against Newcastle from 1843 today yet? That's a cliché you've missed. Sort it out...

It was defended in a way that even we'd be ashamed of...
