Just watched Spurs QPR highlights. Dunne was embarrassing and subbed at HT.

Agreed. He was dreadfully off the pace and think the first three goals all came down his side.

Scratching around for something to watch and stumbled upon Portland Timbers v Seattle Sounders. Ridgewell playing for Portland, Obafemi Martins with a great goal for Seattle and you've also got the unusual sight of a bloke revving a chain saw trying to gee the home crowd up!!

How can you tell if your league is terrible?  When you let Liam Ridgewell do this:

Man Utd looked extremely average. They need about 5 or 6 players, never mind paying £70m just for one.

Obafemi Martins still playing football?  He must be into his late 40s now.

he is and he's playing really quite well for Portland.
Seattle.

Martins is officially 29. Turns 30 on 28th October. That means he's really 150, at least.

QPR starting disastrously, long may it continue.

Dunne looked more shocking than ever and was subbed off at HT.

Mario at Liverpool...that's one way to press the self destruct button for Rodgers.
So I expect Mancity to thrash them tonight.

What's with all the love-ins before kick off before matches these days?  Could you imagine the likes of George Curtis, Dick Edwards, Andy Lochhead and players of that ilk doing that before a game.  Try ang hug one of those feckers and you'd end up being booted over the Holte.

I know he's a nutjob but I still like Balotelli

Yeah, he's a character. Hopefully though he'll get sent off in his first match and miss our game.

Great footballer but a few cells short of a prison!

Anyway I want hat trick each from Dzeko and Sturridge and a couple from Silva for my FL team league leadership. So 5-3 would be nice.

This match is surely the title decider.

I'm not watching it though, I'm doing the ironing and then putting the bins out (cardboard and paper, tins and mixed glass)

I know he's disruptive but he'd be hard pressed to have that impact in two hours. I'm curious what you expect him to get up to!

The game so far is a reminder of just how much more quality the top clubs now have compared to the rest of us. I suspect we're further away now than we've ever been - including when we were in the third division
