Feel free to shoot me down but to me yesterday demonstrated why we no longer require Gabby. His best asset has diminished and is very easy to play against.

The game turned when he went off injured. Not that Bowery is suddenly world class, but he did enough to show he can replace Gabby. His cross for Weimann's headed goal was excellent

A player who runs at other players, causes them to panic, and it leads to a goal? Like our first goal yesterday?

I agree, like the majority of the squad he has been inconsistent this season but he is still a useful player to have around.

The thing I noticed yesterday, that's been sadly lacking, was players running into the space behind their fullback.
I thought Bowery and Albrighton were excellent in doing this.

I certainly raised my eyebrows when Bowery came on, and I'm sure I wasn't alone.
How wrong was I?
He added pace, energy and some height, too. Well done.

The formation today seemed to be, 3-5-2 (5-3-2)

I've always liked this formation. Flexible and adaptable.
When under pressure you drop to 5 at the back, when on the front foot the full/wing back play an advanced roll.
It seems to be a formation that suits us.

**EDIT**
Sorry, think I'm repeating myself with this post, may have posted earlier  :-[

Yesterday couldn't of gone better really, scoring in a minute and then getting 2 more just before half time to kill the game off, hull were very poor though! Fair play to Bowery hasn't played a lot lately but came on and gave his best performance for us. Now for a big summer, spend some money villa!!!

You may have a point, but yesterday he was injured from a minute into the game.

And yet in that minute still managed to create the goal that set us on our way! Mind you, it looked a clear barge on Davies.
Ideally he needs to be replaced or at least given serious competition for his place to keep him from stagnating but I think he's still one of our key players when he's up for it.

Shouldn't be playing week in, week out any more. However he's still one of our better players and should still be a key squad player for the next 2-3 years. I think Gabby would be much better as an impact player in this stage of his career now.

I would rather him now coming on in the 70th minute and making some defenders look like they need a bus pass rather than starting games. Sentimentality aside he's not good enough to start, but I far from want him shipped out.

Sampled the high octane delights of Hibs v Partick yesterday, in a desperate attempt to keep my mind off events at B6.

Shouldn't has worried. With Bowery up top, we are unstoppable.

A draw will be enough. I think Chelsea will win though.

Norwich goal difference is -32; ours is -15. While we are perfectly capable of losing our next two games by huge margins I can't see Norwich even winning their two, let alone by enough goals to take them above us.

I want Norwich to win and catch West Brom now. I fear I'll be disappointed though.
