Think this will be 0-0 or 1-1.

Can't see Fulham winning at Stoke so we should be safe by the final whistle thankfully.

I'm sure I read somewhere Sidwell is doubtful for them, who I think is their top scorer.

Very few teams win at the Britannia and they nearly nicked a point off Spurs last weekend despite playing half of the game with 10 men so can't see lack of motivation being an issue for Stoke.

Plus think Hughes would enjoy relegating Fulham.

Late fitness test for Sidwell according to The Physio Room.

Hull have only ever beaten us once at Villa Park and that way back in 1967.

2-0 Villa (Gabby and Baker).

Making my third and final visit this season boasting an unblemished record (Cardiff and Sandwell).

Meeting up with a few of the lads for our annual last home game day out that could be a riot or a right pisser depending on the result (and the one before kick off).

In fact, it will be a good day anyway if you ignore the football.

A win for us.

Think I few pre match beers in town first will be in order

Boss Paul Lambert believes Gabby Agbonlahor could be a key asset for Villa on Saturday due to his undeniable pace and power.

Lambert is a firm admirer of Agbonlahor and thinks the long-serving forward has what it takes to help tame the Tigers in B6.

As well as his obvious physical football strengths, the manager has been impressed with Agbonlahor's versatility and unselfishness over the past few weeks.

He likes the way Agbonlahor has moved from a wider role to a more central position in the team, in the absence of powerhouse forwards Christian Benteke and Libor Kozak, who are both out injured.

He said in his pre-match press conference: "I thought on Saturday, especially in the first half, that Gabby was excellent.

"His work-rate and the way he performed was excellent. He was a handful. His goal was well deserved too.

"We have lost two main players, two strikers - Kozak and Benteke. We are asking Gabby to do a role now - I know he has done it before - but he's a different type from Kozak and Benteke.

"But his performance was excellent on Saturday.

"We are hoping he goes on that little run of goals now. That's what Gabby can do.

"When he's on form, he's very hard to stop with his pace and power."

Lambert also hailed the influence of Marc Albrighton, who has impressed greatly with his all-action approach and willingness to provide ample ammunition for the strikers.

He added: "Marc is playing well - really well. Marc has been a major plus."

We're terrible but hopefully Hull won't take it too seriously and we can get a draw.

This sums Villa up in 2014. Nothing more to add. I am now going to ground until 5pm Saturday.

It's been a while since I found myself hoping Sidwell was injured

Do I not like the sound of that...

Gabby is very powerful and muscular these days. Absolutely bulges out of his shirt.

Bit of a leftfield suggestion for a line-up,

                Guzan
Lowton Vlaar Clark Bennett
              Westwood
         Bacuna      Delph
Albrighton                Bertrand
                   Holt

Agree with Monty regarding width and slinging some service into the big man. I disagree with Bacuna at RB though, as I think his energy in the centre of the pitch could be more useful if as suspected Hull play the 352.

I'd like to see Bertrand and Albrighton very wide and Holt Supported by Delph and Bacuna.

Alternatively, Gabby in the line up instead of Bennett and switched with Bertrand
