I know our defence is a bit rubbish but why do people think the likes of Jelavic have suddenly become goal machines?

Probably been listening to your kids raving about the mighty Hull.

I know we're bad, but in the past few days, Hull Tigers have suddenly become Real Madrid.  I honestly think we'll win this one comfortably.  Then again, I'm still expecting Maria Wittaker to call me...

Yeah, fuck this, we're going to win. 3:1 to Villa, with the Holte End roaring them on. There.

Kid, singular. My son would give you 'the look' if you suggested he was raving about Hull. My daughter would probably ask who on earth is Jelavic? She soon lost interest in this football thing.

I'm prepared to give us another chance. So far, this season and most of last, when we REALLY need to, we upped our game. Cup ties excepted obviously.

I'm hoping this is going to be a repeat of the Sunderland, Norwich, Albion performances/results.

I'm relying on Gabby to raise his game considerably and mask the loss of Benteke.

And Cardiff at home - we really needed to win that and we eventually did.

I am shitting a brick about the weekend and have been since Saturday. However I have been somewhat becalmed my dream last night where a Bacuna free kick with 20 minutes left was the winner in a dog of a game.

Villa will win 1-0. Lerner will praise the 'amazing' efforts of Lambert and the players and reward him with a four year contract.

During which they can look forward to watching matches in an empty stadium, apart from those scallywags who turn up in different colours for every match at the North end of the Witton.

I think we'll get at least a draw and be safe come 17:00, with Fulham failing to beat Stoke.

A draw won't make us safe until Norwich fail to beat Chelsea on Sunday.

But as we're going to win on Saturday anyway that doesn't matter.

Is the right answer.  Lock the thread please

Let's beat Hull, then Lambert can quit and Cowans can take the last 2 games

It has already started. I am not known for being the worlds most cheerful man anyway but I have been more prickly than normal this week.

Constantly irritable and with my mind drifting off towards Saturday. I will get naff all done at work on Friday and I guarantee someone will get their head bitten off for the most innocuous thing.

The bright side is that it is The Bartons beer festival this weekend so win, lose or draw, however the other results work out, I am going to get legless after the match.
