I think our best hope is a Chelsea win and Fulham failing to win at Stoke. Then should the inevitable happen at VP it will no longer matter.

If Fulham draw it's still in the mix. We need a Stoke win if we have lost too.

Fulham draw they are on 32 points with a GD of -42 to our 35 points on -17.They won't turn that GD around with one game left.

Anything but a win for Fulham and Cardiff and they can't catch us....

1-0 to Hull and a worrying last week. It's going to the wire this year.

Yeah but unfortunately Cardiff are playing Newcastle.

Newcastle have lost 6 in a row. By law of averages that run has to end some time and I think they will at least draw with Cardiff.

The Cardiff and Fulham games are hard to call but so long as Newcastle and Stoke are 100% up for it they should both get a least a draw at home. Cardiff look shot, I just hope they are unable to muster a second wind. I have gone for a narrow Villa win.

The Newcastle game will be interesting as there will be a toxic atmosphere against Pardew. Will the team play for him? also Solksjaer has already won there in the Cup.

Newcastle won away at Cardiff so you pays your money and takes your choice. Except where we get a home draw against Man U in the FA Cup its not that often that a team win away at the same venue twice in a season. Draw I reckon (i.e. hope)

Somebody said Villa and Norwich are the worst teams in the premier league now. Reckon you can add Newcastle to that list. And since Newcastle have nothing to play for their fans won't have to worry about being nice.

I think we'll lose embarrassingly again. I have no faith in the team or the manager.

Just to reiterate, two of the following must happen for Villa to remain in danger, even if we lose to Hull & Citeh & Spurs:

Fulham win their last 2 games

Cardiff win their last 2 games

Norwich win 1 and draw 1 of their last 2 games

Sunderland collect 3 points from 3 games and make up 4 on our goal difference.

Newcastle at least are pretty much full strength now with Sissoko and Remy back.Cardiff are averaging 2-5 goals conceded so hopefully it will be a score draw

Whatever happens I hope the club don't put up the latest scores from the other games on the scoreboards. It makes me even more stressed.

I know why they do it but the thing with that is  I've noticed they don't put all the scores up, only the ones that are going well for us.  For example they didn't flash Swansea's goals at Newcastle, so you then start wondering if results are going against us, check your phone and the atmosphere dies anyway.  I'd rather they didn't put any up, the crowd always know what's going on elsewhere. Bloody hell we knew at Highbury in 81 and that was before God's dog had an iPhone.

They didn't put up Swansea's goals against Newcastle as they both happened in injury time, when the scoreboard is being used for other things, announcements and advertising.

I'd rather they put the scores up, as the signal on my phone is often shit inside the stadium.

I don't think Villa will go down due to the ineptitude of others but IF Sunderland were to win their remaining games they would more than likely better our goal difference. Can't see them spoiling the Giggs love in though.

Sissoko has been awful this season. They also won't be playing their best player - Ben Afra - as Pardew has had some sort of ruck with him.

Newcastle have been truly awful this calendar year, just awful. If it weren't for a few extremely cakey 90th minute goals this season, they'd be right amongst it with us.
