I bought this today for £20 from the club shop in town, hopefully it will prove to be of decent(ish) quality.

Can't understand how so many people can like the old, famous, Muller shirt.
The dark red wasn't claret at all (assuming that claret is the current season, the 1982 and the 70's colour, correct me if I am wrong) and the blue was not the classic Villa light blue.
It was the shirt of another team.

Agreed. Horrible home and away kits. Claret isn't a difficult colour to get wrong. If you're not sure just go to B&Q and get a colour strip before trying to convince us that which ever variant of red foisted upon us, that it's claret. (Also agree with the blue).

The Green Muller was awful (oddly enough I quite liked it at the time), but the home kit I really liked.  Actually think the current one is rubbish, and us being sponsored by another betting firm makes it double fail ::)

Did anyone else see Burnley's new kit yesterday?  Very retro design, one which I'm sure we had in the early 20th century.

Based on their 1914 strip, to commemorate the 100th anniversary of winning the FA Cup. I think it is only used for that one game and is not for sale to supporters due to the crest.

Final year I think.

yep, it was an initial three year agreement. This years home kit was fine except the collar which I didn't like at all. I think given the season I fell out of love with what this years kits have represented, so hoping for a number of new and exciting things to look forward to in the summer.
i thought this seasons kit was terrible. Horrible scratchy material and very cheap looking. Been jealous of west ham and their Adidas number this season.

I see even Sheff U have seen the light and swapped Macron for Adidas.

the only thing I'll say about Puma/Adidas/Nike is that unless you are at the very top of the tree they simply send you your colours in the same design as 100's of other teams. Now, if the logo means a lot, then it will be appealing to wear one of those above Macron. But Nike's quality is no different to Macron. Same materials being used by most of the kit manufacturers now. Our kit under Adidas would look much like West Ham's really. For me, as I don't really invest in new kits is to get the best deal for the club which is what Macron did for us.

I wouldn't say West Ham are a top of the tree club but their kit this season is definately not an Adidas generic template.

I suppose there's a degree of snob value, but I'd prefer us to be associated with an Adidas, Nike, Puma than Macron.  Macron has connotations of lower league/Sunday morning teams to me.  When we signed with Nike I felt that we had arrived on a bigger stage...I don't place any emphasis on quality of the kit, it's more about being associated with the big players.  Even Liverpool fans were gutted when they initially signed with Warrior, because it was a brand most hadn't heard of.

Imagine the retro gold they could churn out if we signed a deal with Umbro
