Maybe one of the mods want to start a new thread Villa on Twitter, sure it will be the thread with the most posts inside a week with good old Dr. Tone

I think it's excellent*, and should provide lots of "popcorn" moments as the season progresses.

*I obviously reserve the right to think it's shit and that he's a tosser at a later date.

I'm not too bothered about it now, but I am a bit worried by what it may come to during a season. If Villa have a bad loss and Dr X gets trolled as a result and then decides to bite back things may get a bit ugly.

Just imagine how great it will be though if we're top by 10 points and Dr X is routinely flicking the V's at Newcastle and the other associated no marks in the division.  A high risk strategy for sure, but it should be fun.

Agree, that's exactly what will happen, can see it a mile off.

The Doc is now claiming that he is hoping for 3-4 more plus an experienced Technical Director.

Oh and he's dismissing any chance of Ayew leaving.

It may be a bit crass, but I am loving Dr Tony's twitter activity. We have been too nice for too long, it is really refreshing having him shooting from the hip and annoying people.

Of course it will likely end in tears, but for now I am happy to enjoy watching him wind up Holloway, Newcastle, West Ham etc etc

3-4 more players and Ayew stays... time to put some cash on us winning the league before the odds drop too much.

If, way back in 2009, someone had told you that in just 7 years we'd be about to embark on a season in the Championship, with a Chinese owner, who'd just celebrated the signing of a Scottish forward for £12m with a 'tweet' saying "Gooooooooppppooooo!" you'd think they were quite insane. However...

I just wonder if Ayew will start playing up if there is a chance he could join his brother at Wet Spam? Tbh, he is talented but I thought he was as bad as the rest for the last quarter of the season. Would not like him sulking if he hangs around.

This might be a well-thought-out strategy. RDM might have asked us to be more rough and not seen as pushovers, and that we are serious. Price of that pissing people off (on purpose), and using the person where the buck stops - the owner?

Hopefully we will get these 3-4 players promised and Ayew will be suitably convinced that Villa are on the up.

So far so good. Decent manager, new keeper, central defender, midfielder and striker, and shite like Guzan and Clark out the door. Not finished yet but as good a start as I could have expected under Dr X.
