They built over the road on the Aston Park side though?  And you have the land between the road and the houses on the Witton Lane side. I'd hate to think we're stuck with the DE stand in it's current form for eternity.

Look at the size of the Trinity Road from the pitch to the part that's on Aston Park and imagine how far that would be jutting over Witton Lane. Remember that we had the whole of the old forecourt to build on whereas on Witton Lane we've only got the pavement.
I've worked in construction most of my life. An extra tier on the DE is totally doable. It wouldn't be all that complicated.  Whether there is the will to spend the money is a different matter. Maybe if The good Dr gets his dreams of European football you never know. Maybe just maybe...........I can dream!

but I imagine another tier would impinge on the residents behind .  I think they had to reduce the original development because of its height, shame really

Taking it slightly off topic but if the Witton Lane stand had to be reduced in height because of neighbouring residents how did the Euro Packaging warehouse in Haymills get planning permission?

Yes your right. But I'm sure if you looked into it you could find a precedent involving stadia encroaching onto people's properties so I'm pretty sure it could be made to happen. However it's easy for me to say as it wouldn't be my home being affected. For now I'd be happy to see a rebuilt much larger North Stand.

because it's a different building with a different purpose (and therefore probably subject to different planning restrictions) and they're different residents (it might be that the council were ok but residents complained)?

Just read elsewhere that Chris Samuelson is no longer named on the official site as vice chairman . Checked and now someone called Tracy Gu who is named as a director. All a bit odd, unless he didn't pass the fit and proper test.

According to this: http://www.duport.co.uk/credit-reports/reports.php?id=10176070

Samuelson was appointed a Director on the 20th. But there does seem to be some extraneous coming and going.

I don't think it's realistic within the existing plot, as the upper tier already projects out over the pavement, and has a relatively steep rake. If it was to be enlarged I think we'd be in for an almost complete re-build.

And this : https://beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/company/10176070/filing-history

Both show Jamie Banfill, Samuelson's associate, gone though.

I thought Samuelson might be involved in the set up, and then move on.

Both Samuelson and Wyness have been appointed, terminated and then appointed again in the space of 6 weeks.  Most odd.

No club statement yet about this.  Xia probably sticking his head in the sand and hoping we don't notice.  Time you started telling us the truth about this "ownership" doctor.

All very odd but is it normal business practice?

Just to make sure I have understood this right, if Samuelson is a Director that is a problem and we should be worried, but if Samuelson is not a Director this is a problem and we should be worried?

Give it a rest. It's quite common for Directors to come in to aid the set up of a company and then leave once that's done.
