I guess it depends what currency the deal was struck in. I know the numbers quoted in the press have been in sterling; but in theory now if Xia was due to pay Lerner an extra £xxx next year if we go straight back up then that £ figure is now worth a lot less to Lerner in $

It's an easy joke to say Lerner is a terrible businessman but I would guess they have thier FX exposure hedged accordingly. The impact on player movements within EU I'm not sure has been fully explained yet though.

Still no news from the Football League as to whether they approve of Wyness and the other proposed directors.
Another example of the Football League's lack of competence?

Can someone tell me what resorts world is? our new sponsored partner, I have been away from Brum for a few years now, is it just the NEC?, or am i missing something. Looking at the website, it looks like a casino and hotel, is it like Star City? is it brand new?

It's like a bigger Star City, with casinos, restaurants, bars and empty shops.

Its a mixed retail and entertainment site next to the NEC on Pendigo Lake. Similar to Star City if you were familiar with that.

Ive only been twice but the second time the amount of empty shops had vastly reduced, although I'd doubt that they would have been the kind of retailers the developers would have wanted when it was on the drawing board.

We now use the IMAX cinema there, new, clean and excellent quality. Has a 24 hour sports bar at which STholders now get a discount.

The company I work for held a huge dealer conference there last weekend at the Vox centre. The venue and its support staff were tremendous and the location, the hotel facility and the bars and retail were all commented on by both UK and overseas visitors to our event as being as good as they have seen. A real credit to the facility and the area in general

Stayed at the Genting Hotel when we went to see Noel Gallagher at the Arena. Fantastic hotel and the bonus being I won £140 on the bandits in the Casino before the gig. Went back to the Sports bar and Casino until 3am. Highly recommended.

I remember as a kid under 10 when my dad did relief work before getting bison pub he had The Throstles club for a while. They had two fruit machines and the top prize was £100. It seemed like a fortune.
