We've got to stop accepting failure. That will be the start of it.
Tony X doesn't seem like the kind of guy who will accept failure.
I hope that's true.
From what I know of the emerging Chinese middle class, there is no comfort zone. They are the sole children of parents who push them towards success, because that's the only chance they have in a hugely competitive environment. They are used to working under immense pressure. And they work damn hard.
Dr X has to shatter the B6 comfort zone. The complacency, stupidity, misplaced arrogance and reliance on past glories that typified the Randy Lerner era must all be fired into space, as far away from the new Aston Villa as it can possibly get. What we're going to need to get out of this division is hard work, vigilance, an intolerance of failure and the belief that you're only as good as your last result. If we carry that on into the Premier League, then we'll be on the right track.
