What measures (covenants?) can Randy realistically insist upon in any sale?  Can the T&Cs of the deal state that the buyer is obligated to spend X, Y and Z on A, B and C within a certain timeframe.  If such conditions exist what course of action is there to ensure that the obligations are met?

Buying and selling multimillion pound businesses is not something I regularly do so I'm struggling to see what control Randy can exert upon the buyer even if he does have the club's best interests at heart.

That 'what-if' article is very interesting in light of current speculation. Interesting that Wanda already have a 20% stake in Atletico Madrid.

Precious little really - a claim for breach of warranty unless there's some kind of retention sum that's left in to ensure certain conditions are met. Bottom line really is that the new owners are exactly that - it's their trainset to play with.
