The Mail just roll this shit out when there's nothing else to say and people take it time and time again. They know full well the identity of a buyer must be kept confidential, so by coming out with 'UK and European backers' they're covering every base. Rather like those clairvoyants who say shit like 'I've got an old lady here...she's got a dog' and half the room start jibbing.

Haven't been here before? It's like Groundhog Day
Bill Murray for chairman...

Does that mean Andie McDowell is coming too?

all of a sudden we have 8 interested buyers at 100 million?

hhhmmmm

£150 million for a Premier League club that needs another £50 million spent to get it up the table is a tall order. £100 million for one in the Championship that needs a lot less spending to get promoted is much more attractive.

depends which way you look at it

a team who has just been relegated without a whimper, players not good enough/dont care, loss of sky money, 27 million loss, shutting parts of the ground, reduction in kit deal. no manager and the best man for it not approached, players on long contracts who will be impossible to shift, decent players likely to leave

100 million? quick get the chequebook out

I would guess that the huge increase in cash for the Premiership TV rights is going to also inflate the value of the Premier League clubs and also those in the Championship who could become long term Premiership teams.

The new badge should incorporate this.

There is not one shred of real evidence that any of this so called sale is actually in flow. Not one.

It's all rumor, conjecture, people claiming to be in the know, and half arsed logic.

Must be true!

I was just wondering what the fuck Sherwood had to do with these latest phantom bids, then I realised I was 60 pages in the past.

Well, they say it's always darkest just before the dawn, and things have seemed pretty dark this week.

Our ex managers for the past 10 years are all chipping in to buy the club.

With their pay-offs, they can afford it.

With their pay-offs they can make us the next Man City.
