Could this have been the problem with King and Bernstein, I would imagine if there is a British consortium
they would be involved in it, maybe Lerner gave them the green light and then opened the books up to other interested parties.

£150 million for a Premier League club that needs another £50 million spent to get it up the table is a tall order. £100 million for one in the Championship that needs a lot less spending to get promoted is much more attractive.

Which is why it appears to be moving along nicely now relegation has been confirmed. I must admit I thought we'd install a new manager this week, thinking that no one wanted it before the relegation as the history books would show them in charge when it happened. This would be way better if it happens, I would imagine a new manager wouldn't be far behind as well.

I just really hope we get the right people this time. I want news and I want change. But it has to be right. If there are 8 offers on the table, I would love to know what the offers on the table are and how they have selected their preferred bidder?

depends which way you look at it

a team who has just been relegated without a whimper, players not good enough/dont care, loss of sky money, 27 million loss, shutting parts of the ground, reduction in kit deal. no manager and the best man for it not approached, players on long contracts who will be impossible to shift, decent players likely to leave

100 million? quick get the chequebook out

These stories really are like the boy who cried wolf.  We're the least easily impressed and most cynical folk on the planet too. Unless they've got more money than Pablo Escobar had back in the day, then we do not care.
