Yeah its the guy who owns Carnival or Paul Allen (Microsoft guy) but it could be tight because Gustavo Cisneros is also in town.

Fingers crossed.

You mean this twat?

Wasn't it the fault of the helicopter company and not the owner? It doesn't appear he requested that it land there during the game. And he tried to apologize also. Why they can't use a different location for landing helicopters is a another issue entirely but seems a bit harsh to call him a twat based on the article. Certainly unfortunate.

It wouldn't have happened if the kids were armed.

Lots of guns in Switzerland - mandatory ay it?

Every Swiss male ( Females too, but slightly different time-line ) has to serve at least 260 days in the armed forces followed by seven 3-week intermittent recalls for training during the next 10 years . When I worked there some years ago I was told that, by Law, every Household has a gun  that had to be kept locked up and separate from its Ammo.
Interesting note , the Swiss  had the  world's last remaining Bicycle regiment which was  gradually disbanded by 2003. Not a lot of people know that !..............Godzvilla!

Now Citeh, who I think were a major contributing factor to Lerner giving up, sell 10% of their holding company to China for £265 million - that's gonna depress him even more!

Fuck modern football. Just 13% for 265 million?
No point trying to compete anymore, what's the fucking point. Unless we are taken over by someone who I would rather we weren't taken over by we will never get close. The sooner the rich fuckers form a Fuck You All Rich Thundercunt League and play each other in front of no fans but a worldwide audience of armchair wankers the better. Then a proper league might emerge.

I can see the day when a 'Premier League 2' will be formed.

They don't want that league though. Where is the fun in finishing 15th every season and getting beaten every week? The glory hunting TV fuckers won't follow you then.

No. What we need are a large amount of shit clubs, who accept they have no chance of winning anything. Who exist purely to suck up some TV money. Who we are that much richer than we can roll them over 99 times out of 100.

Stuff shit teams, maintain uneven playing field, keep those in Malaysia happy.

Quite. Outside the 'elite' the rest are just a back-drop for the TV matches. The money gap is huge to ask the likes of us to compete in the league.

Interesting point of view. I have never thought of it in that way before. It's easier to sell a limited number of successful clubs from a number of countries than a much reduced number in a European league.

I fully agree with this. Spoke to a Chelsea fan about it (not this season).

The set up of 14-16 home wins against cannon fodder clubs, where they get to see their stars pissing all over teams that cost 10% of theirs, scoring a fair few goals etc; plus, a few highly competitive matches in Europe, on a level-ish playing field, is brilliant for them.

It reinforces the belief in global and UK armchair fans that there really is something pretty special about institutions like Chelsea, Man Utd etc. it leads to comments like "Chelsea belong in Europe".

There is absolutely no desire to change this anymore - the exception would be if the premier league money keeps increasing vs the Champs League money, and upsets the finely-tuned balance.

Not that it will matter to us 👿

So extrapolating the 13% for £265 million, that values Man City at over £2 Billion.  If that was in Dragons Den they'd be pissing themselves and telling you to fuck off and do one.

All that money and they can't get three points from Aston Villa. What a bitch.

These numbers do not make any sense.
No one pays that amount of money for a minority stake in Private Company.

There must be some "other" arrangement going on.

It would mean that Citeh are unlikely to fall foul of any Financial Fair Play rules which I guess is part of the plan here.
