I must admit that I am surprised that a takeover is taking this long.  With a willing seller you'd think it would have been quite easy to get the information required to assess the club and once the relegation risk was avoided, I'd have thought it was pretty straight forward.

The 10th of July was a date mentioned a few times, which happens to be today.
Unsure, but,  I'm assuming that the 10th is the end of the 6 weeks exclusivity.

It definitely wont be today because Pat Murphy is in Cardiff for the test match and we wouldn't make any announcement without his august presence. ;)

Someone on TBAR is very good friends with the former Arsenal CEO, David Dein. He says that David Dein won't be buying the Villa.

I am friends with Gary Penrice and I say that he won't be buying the Villa.

Is anyone friends with anyone, and can they confirm whether their friend will be buying the Villa?
