Are we officially in an exclusivity period or was that just speculation.

I don't think there is much evidence that we are to be honest
whatever Fox said he Didn't say we were in a exclusivity period, he just said any potential owner could slow down transfer targets, that's it

From that we have got a TBAR esq full on takeover happening in the next 3/4 weeks max

Do you not think that Fox would have specifically denied it, given the seriousness of the reports? I understand how the club don't give lip service to every piece of tittle tattle, but the BBC and Telegraph coming out with ownership change, and the ackowledged upheaval that brings, I think he'd have given an honest no to the question, if that were the case. Instead he went into bat over Randy's legacy.

It's just as easy to say, why didn't he confirm it then,
He wouldn't be giving anything away that isn't known already
He doesn't have to reveal any names or details, just a quick yes we are in a period of exclusivity and I have no more comment to make

If it's been reported in the times and by the BBC anyway he wouldn't be giving any official secrets away

As he would have signed an NDA, personally, given he runs the company and would be prohibited from saying anything either to th positive or negative. We're a wholly owned subsidiary of RAL, both are private companies and have none of the reporting requirements of a public company.

We only found out last time because Herbie had a duty to inform the market under the CA.

Theres about as much evidence that we are being taken over in the next few weeks as there is that Delph has a 10 mill release clause in his contract

People believe one and not the other according to what they actually want to happen

That's not true though is it.  people weigh possibilities and make decisions based on that.

For Delph a £10m relegation release clause makes sense, a £10m general clause doesn't really, for him too he'd really want it a bit higher so that the buying club felt he was a big enough investment to give him a fair chance to become a regular.  Players who go to those clubs for cheap or free are generally treated as fringe players.

For the takeover the simple question is to ask why would the club (via Fox) make comments that allude to a takeover shortly after the exclusivity reports, what are the benefits to allowing the rumours to go on and feed them like this?  Some will say that it gives them an excuse to not spend money but will that really play out well for the club if it was just a ruse?

Well being in the legal profession you will know more about that side of things than me, so you got me there
I just sell second hand lorries for a living so no great shakes in legal side of takeovers

we might be well on the way to being taken over like you say,
I'm just saying what I feel, that I dont see any reason to believe anything is happening, but lots of people on here do, so if I'm wrong it's because I didn't read the signs correctly,
but no one on here has convinced me otherwise just yet, even you legal beagles

I suppose we will know one way or t'other shortly

Allude is the key word there, it's not confirmation it's just conjecture

A number of premiership clubs are open to offers or up for sale and there seems to be little concrete evidence  that they will have new owners shortly. If no buyer materialises for us soon we will just be in the same boat as they are. Randy will have to make an investment in the transfer market to protect his overall investment. It's not all doom and gloom it's just frustrating but then we have no way of knowing what funds new investors may pump into the club. Asset strippers would be our worst nightmare...see blackpool

Bryan Small who does community work/coaching for us has told my daughter that he can't work at their school on Tuesday because he and other staff have been called in for a meeting where announcements are to be made. So there you have it, all sorted, done deal Tuesday. I'm too good for this place, might need to go to where the other ITK's are at TBAR?

Nothing to do with a takeover, there has been a phantom shitter at the villa park

The thing is  if they respond to one piece of speculation, they will end up having to respond to them all.
Better (from their point of view) to say nothing, frustrating for us as it may be.

There has been shit at Villa Park that's for sure. Until midnight on Tuesday my prediction holds, after that I will change the date like those 'the end of the world' predictors do.

I'll take it! Most credible takeover rumour for months.

He said the same to me aswell. More a case of internal re-organisation in the Community Department as opposed to anything else.
