Rumour on their forums that it could be Wang Jianlin or something, the 29 th richest in the world. If it is, then I will be very depressed about Lerners lack of selling when someone like that could buy them.

To be honest at the moment there's not much good news coming out of the club. I appreciate a lot of it's speculation and may have no grounds, but we could really do with some positive news.

The sale thing is becoming a nouse though. We scraped to sit on the line after such little investment last summer. The promoted clubs all seem to have a budget. If we don't invest 20 million plus sales at least I think we are in huge trouble.

If H&V were Facebook I would 'like' this. Not that I like it, of course.

Unless we are sole to someone willing to invest in the squad, we are going down next season. Too many years circling the plug-hole under Randy, we may run out of teams to save us. We need money to improve the squad.

The Albion correspondent for the Express and Star reckons it's bull. Their forums are as reliable as TBAR.

The season finished last week so there is not much coming out of the club - be that good, bad or indifferent.

I think part of the problem is that Randy is probably being more careful with prospective buyers than other clubs are.He wants to sell us but he doesn't need to sell us. I think in his way he is trying to do the right thing and that's what is causing problems and frustration all round. Anyone wanting to buy the Smethwick lot can't be up too much because if they were they would be trying to buy a proper football club.

Although my 'ITK' mentioned it was a Chinese investor.

People are on holiday. Shit season or not they still are entitled to a bit of time off as we all are in our professions. I don't imagine they can be total disconnected but it's hardly surprising that little has been done in the past week. I expect things to ramp up mid June onwards.

I think there's merit in this point of view, especially the latter sentence.
