Heard an unofficial 'itk' that Smethwick are much closer to being sold than us and that their takeover may happen before the summer is out.  Don't shoot the messenger.

Given that Bill Howell wrote this last week, shooting the messenger would be a very good idea indeed.

Dave I honestly didn't see that, I just know someone who has links in there - some of what this bloke says is utter crap but some is genuine.  I try not to read Bill Howell at the best of times in any event.  Agree shoot the messenger then.

Supposed to be decent backers apparently but then they are hardly going to say anything else.

I am guessing that the new TV deal has made the proposition of buying any Premier League club more attractive. The problem will be that some prospective owners will have the best of intentions and others less so. As much as you want new owners to do due diligence on the club you would also ideally want your current owner or owners to do the same regarding the new owners. This is yet another example of the number one rule in football. 'Don't follow the example of Small Heath.'

Got to ask yourself why somebody would prefer to buy Albion over Villa. I can only see it being limited funds and lower expectations.

I think William gets to a few games covertly. He was at the semi for example but not many people know that.
Are you allowed to tell us how you know this or will you have to kill us once we are told?
He was at the SF with a couple of minders in a private box. No cameras or anything allowed near him. And by all accounts he was going mental when villa scored.
Probably the same box he was in for the League Cup Final in 2010 'disguised' in a cap. I sat in the next box.

There's nothing wrong with Bill Howell.   That a flamethrower wouldn't fix.

I can't get my head round how they can find a buyer at a similar price faster than we can, unless Peace is selling to the first people with a suitcase full of cash.

By the same token, I can't believe that if not sold, Lerner won't spend a lot more than the last couple of summers to make sure we get the new TV deal next summer and are easier to sell then.

West Bromwich are a piss pot club. Villa are a giant. So much easier to run a corner shop like Albion than a megastore like Villa. Low expectations, low crowds, Tiny Penis as Manager. I highly doubt they are being sold for anything near the value of Villa, despite what Hill Bowell says in his shite paper.
