James Nursey really is a know-nothing gobshite.

I don't like the look of that former Chelsea bloke, Smith.

I don't even like the concept of Tony Adams.

As a takeover frontman, or just as Tony Adams?

I loathe the idea of Adams being anywhere near the club. The man has proved time and again since he retired that he is utterly clueless and completely deluded in much of his beliefs about the game. Would be a nightmare, and Sherwood would be running for the hills.

Both are equally repugnant.

I dont think Roma, or indeed anyone else in Italy, could get near the fee we would require for CB. Seems a bit of a cobbled together piece.

Well, he was useful (as a reference) in The Full Monty. I've used that and lots of drinks to explain the offside rule to clueless thesps in the pub.
But, sorry, he's nowhere near as good for The Villa right now and in the future as Our Tim.

I suppose we have to put up with this crap from the media, they have to fill space when there's no actual news.

I've lost count of the times Roma are said to be interested in Benteke. Unlike Paddy Ashdown, I will eat my hat if this ever happens.

Am I right that randy has a massive amount of soft loans outstanding to the club?

What's the risk that he seeks to recoup a good chunk of that before leaving, from the increase in TV revenues or say a massive benteke fee?

No I don't like it at all. He seems to lack funds and the fact he seems to view Adams as a sensible member of his consortium places serious questions against his judgement. Fingers crossed Randy won't be stupid.

Roma and Juve have the money, as might Milan if Berlusconi is finally bought out, but the rebuilding jobs are very large and none of them could really spend that much (£30m+?) on a single player.

Might depend on what he's having to cough up for his ex wife I suppose.
