Rather unfair. As a player he won the top trophy for a player in Europe. As a manager at Norwich he never lost back-to-back games (at least before the Prem) and in his first season in the Prem he took Norwich, an attractrive to watch Norwich, to a comfortable mid-table finish. Suddenly at Villa something has changed. Is it him? Or outside influences? Is he trying too hard but facing overwhelming difficulties? Caring too much and tying himself up? Or is he as useless as some say? Napoleon III? Nah, he's our Lech Walesa.

he's Napoleon in rags, and when you've got nothing, you've got nothing to loose.

He's got plenty of secrets to conceal, though.

So what happens to all the premiership money Lerner gets this year?

Surely that will pay for the running of the club? Wages etc?

We'll spend most of it on some new cheap tat to replace the outgoing cheap tat, I would imagine.

That means we'll cruise to the top of the league next season.

Just checked him out on Wiki and Forbes reckons he's worth about $5.9 billion which makes him the 169th richest person in the world.
He owns two 200 foot long yachts which he lives on, so anyone passing Gas St. Basin could you check to see if one of them is moored there.

Surely a ship tycoon would be more interested in Hull?
