If I stamp my feet enough can we convince Randy to appoint a new owner without proper due diligence?

He played for us on the Ringway in the 60s in a group called The Vampires if memory serves.   So many of them. So loud.
Never had a left foot like Sid's though!

But then, again who did?

So that Bob Rich fella might have been looking at Blues after all if he is the North American funding stream they refer too. Could be a real kick if he is. Randy selling and his mate invests in our local rivals... Probably just a coincidence that his plane was here though.

Never going to or would happen. No sensible business would deal with them from the States unless they're actual fans of the club. Taking away my own bias if I was from overseas and looking at investing in footy from a low start point ( B'lose meet that criteria) I would look at one of the Sheffield clubs, a vastly bigger/better prospect.

Having grown up in Yorkshire, I'm amazed neither Wed or utd have been taken over.

Give them a decent team and their crowds would be as big as ours.

Like you state, they don't have the baggage like the Blose either

I thought Sheff United were bought by some wealthy types last year?

It really is strange the Sheffield footy thing. It's a nice place, huge fan base for both, whoever is the smaller club ( I've never decided but United I think) is bigger than the second team here.

We go on about Randy but some people have really messed up up there.

Not heard that Chris but I hope so.

This league would be better with the Sheffield clubs and Forest.

Get rid of Stoke, Swansea and Burnley!

Always had a soft spot for Sheff Wed but not so much for the Utd. They seem to have a chip on their shoulder akin to Small Heath.

Surely Bob Rich wouldn't invest in a shitty club?

He might want a feeder club for Bedlington Terriers

time to cheer up. Admin is back from Barbados and has news of a new name in the frame for fellow TBAR acolytes. But he's not revealing it just yet, because he has a lot of post to catch up on, and it needs ratifying by another source first. Who needs London Boy!

Given that we appear to be nowhere near a takeover is it time to change the poll on this thread from 'who' to 'when'?

My guess is December.
