Even just 3 signings at the 5 million ish level would keep us up with the injured coming back. I hope Lerner provides it.

Jeez, I think we'll need a lot more than that.

I want a bit more next season than just staying up.

Lads,

Heard the buyer is on his way over in the next few weeks which is promising.

Heard he wants a big marque signing to show rest league what we are all about.

You picked the wrong forum mate

We don't do ITK on here, have you not noticed
and we certainly don't give a shit about your bit of useless information

Unnecessarily harsh, don't you think?

This obsessing over TBAR is getting a bit tedious now, can't we just ignore them?

Apologies if I went to far

If we plundered the relegated sides and picked-up, say, Leroy Fer and Jordan Mutch, paid £5m to keep Bertrand and took Lescott on a free, we'd immediately be a much better side than last year.

I'd take Redmond off Norwich whilst we're at it.

I think Bent might be more useful as a bench
Wooden or metal?

I don't care where people post, just as long as it's not nasty, argumentative or disrespectful to anyone.
Fully agree Chris. After all we are all Villa and fighting for the common cause.

i like wine it is a nice drink there is red which is good and white which goes with fish

This is typical - hearsay evidence dished out as real ITK.
Ignore him everyone.
Yes total bollox as he tells us white goes with fish without telling us where they go and no mention of what red goes with never mind where?

We need a psychology overhaul as much as an injection of new talent. This club has scars all over it from losing as much as it has in the past four seasons. I don't know if that improves once Lerner sells, Lambert is replaced or new players are brought in. Likely a combination of all three. Collectively we need to stop feeling sorry for ourselves and start to fight and believe again. It's the only way we will get back to being great. We are soft, and our opponents know it.

A lot more than three £5m signings, as well as Kozak, Benteke, Okore and N'Zogbia to come back?

We stayed up without any of that this season, so I don't see that we need a huge amount more if that's what we're aiming for.

Maybe Dave but all 4 will be coming back from very serious injuries, who knows how quickly they will get back to their best. Which is another point, Kozak imo isn't good enough, Benteke wants out, N'Zogbia has rarely shown anything good in his time at Villa and Okore is almost untried at this level.

We need a buyer with lots of money and is willing to spend it on the squad ASAP what we don't need is someone like Small eff has.

I know some are genuinely excited about this but I'm shitting myself as much as I never really brought into the Randy Lerner thing at least he seemed to want to keep the traditions of Aston Villa we could have done much much worse.

I can understand you disagreeing with the notion that Kozak's not good enough. But he's  hardly so obviously good that you need to stop reading when someone say he isn't!

For the record I don't rate him- if he wasn't 6'4" I don't see what he would offer. I appreciate he grabbed a few goals but his overall play has been mediocre and he's hardly proven himself yet.

Kozak's movement off the ball impressed me. He's not a selfish player, and will move in order to make space for others as well as himself. The fact that he can grab a goal as well just completes the equation. He's not a genius, but he's certainly good enough.

I just about scraped through the rest. He's no world beater but I agree, I was much more impressed with his movement off the ball than most of our players so I don't just see him as a tall lump.

aj2k77 that made my inner child laugh a lot.

We probably could survive if the injured came back, but I'm pretty fucking bored of that.

I'd maybe understand why people would write him off had he not delivered goals. But he has.

He's a very good team player, only thing that let's him down is his pace, when he signed I spoke to my mate who's a huge Ultra and he said you'll think he's crap then bang a goal, then another, his movement is already known and I can't wait to see him back next season.
