The Earliest on The Beach award : too close to call. Team effort.

Don't be saft, it goes to Charlie, he went on it in June and decided not to come off it so feigned an injury.

Baker's going to clean up. He's also a lock for "The making shit players look like Ronaldo" award, and "I have every attribute a footballer could want but talent" award.

I nominate myself for the Darius Vassell Toenail Drilling Award for supreme stupidity for leaving my lovely warm comfortable house and driving an average of 220 miles usually in foul weather and wading through the uncollected detritus of Aston to watch the detritus served up at Villa Park. Total madness on my part.

Back to topic. I got up at 5.00AM fully expecting to hear a statement of huge importance. Instead I find out that Ashley Cole has retired from the England scene because er Roy hasnt given him the call up.....and Aston Villa..absolutely nothing!

I hope Randy isn't going to drag this out because the suspense is killing me.

I get the feeling we won't be seeing a statement today.

Perhaps Brian Doogan's computer has broken down and he is waiting for IT to come in and fix it!

Perhaps the statement might not come until after the end of season awards dinner....

That should be a fun night.

Golden Hands award to the player with the most foul throws for the season, Antonio Luna
OG of the season, Bowery, first and only goal for the club
Motto of the year, We go again
Bomb Squadder of the year, Shay Given, from Loan to senior coach in one fell swoop
And petulant goal celebration of the year - Weimann
Lack of defensive positional awareness award - Bacuna
Etc etc

To be fair the lack of positional awareness award is closely fought between Lowton, Bacuna, Luna, Baker and Clark. Should be exciting.

Good point! I gave it to Bacuna as he had the most bemused look on his face.

the IT technicians were replaced 2 years ago by young and hungry kids with experience of playing a bit of ps3.

Can't see anything happening until the day after the disaster of a season awards.
