I think its remarkable how quickly you can get used to  a new playing field , to be fair. And Fulham were a lot better with, rather than without, him.

Would it really be that bad if Randy was joined at the club by Mr Al Fayed? As long as he invests and the team get sorted? Oh, and that Michael Jackson statue stays well away from VP. Randy has done a lot for the club despite some poor decisions. Clubbing resources can't be a bad thing surely?
That idea is as bad as clubbing seals.

So, we'd be happy with Ellison the billionaire but not Al Fayed the billionaire? Hmm, ok. Can I ask why this is a bad idea?

Because he's fuckin nuts that's why. I wouldn't want him in a million mile radius of Villa Park.

No he's not, don't be so ridiculous. You cannot become a billionare by being 'nuts'. Apart from the ludicrous statue he infested on Craven Cottage  he did a very reasonable job of keeping Fulham in the top division and kept a low profile towards the end of his tenure.

So you  think that accusing the Duke Of Edinburgh of complicity in Diana's death doesn't put him in the nutter camp.

I reckon our Royal Villa fan would have Lerner sent to the tower if he sold the club to Al Fayed.

"News in the US hits the internet first"

and what`s this internet stuff he talks of? I cant see it taking off over here ... far too radical

That'll be the Internet invented by an English genius or another one?

Al Fayed is a very nasty piece of work. That is all I know about him.

He could accuse the Duke of Edinburgh of having an affair with Katie Boyle for all I care. He ran a middle of the table football club very well for a considerable time.

And besides everything else about the distasteful Al Fayed he's 85, and that's no age to be buying a football club.
No thanks.

I knew someone quite well in the UK who held a senior management position at Harrods and take it from me Al Fayed was a very nasty and quite disgusting nutcase.

I'd go into specific details but I don't want to get the site into trouble.

Instead of statues , perhaps we could have something like Roman busts of ex managers dotted about. Perhaps Houllier , O'Leary, MON and Eck's on the spiked railings outside the Holte Pub.

At the end of a season if they don't get enough points / finish high enough / win a trophy

Have the beheading at the end of last home game - I'd rather that than the lap of appreciation for the crap we have witnessed this season.
Yep, I'd probably hang about for that

He's just given a press interview saying that Fulham got relegated because a statue of Michael Jackson was no longer at the ground.

I thought the stats support that quote.

Why? Just asking not that I want Al Fayed anywhere within 100 miles of Villa Park.
