He's just given a press interview saying that Fulham got relegated because a statue of Michael Jackson was no longer at the ground.

I thought the stats support that quote.

It is like the old story of the bloke who gets accosted by the guard on the train to London for throwing beer cans out of the window and who argues that is to keep elephants off the track. When challenged he uses the fact that their are no elephants as proof that it works.

Would it really be that bad if Randy was joined at the club by Mr Al Fayed? As long as he invests and the team get sorted? Oh, and that Michael Jackson statue stays well away from VP. Randy has done a lot for the club despite some poor decisions. Clubbing resources can't be a bad thing surely?
That idea is as bad as clubbing seals.

So, we'd be happy with Ellison the billionaire but not Al Fayed the billionaire? Hmm, ok. Can I ask why this is a bad idea?
Its a bad idea because no one knows his true wealth or where it came from, that the DTI said he was not fit to be a Director of a Company. And his son messed with the Peoples Princess

I knew someone quite well in the UK who held a senior management position at Harrods and take it from me Al Fayed was a very nasty and quite disgusting nutcase.

I'd go into specific details but I don't want to get the site into trouble.

Friend of my mum worked for him, he's a very controlling, nasty piece of work by all accounts.

tbh I think most super rich people are. I know someone who worked for Virgin. RB used to interview a select number of hostesses personally, on a regular intake basis, sort of hand-picking the cream of the crop, if you get my drift. Priapic old goat. She left very quickly and went to BA.

I saw Al Fayed in Harrods once. He was strutting about as if he owned the place.

I'll get my coat.

No he's not, don't be so ridiculous. You cannot become a billionare by being 'nuts'.

Assume you meant whilst being nuts rather than "by being", but I was just thinking, Howard Hughes was (meaning no medical offence to anyone) largely "nuts", and some of Henry Ford's ideas were a touch nuts, too. And Walt Disney.

My sister went to work for Virgin - she never had that happen...mind you, she was past 40, 2 kids and the job was as a train manager...

that would explain it. The person I was referring to was, at the time, 22 and as fit as a butcher's pup.

If hopefully a new owner and manager come in, they've got a hell of a lot of work to do. Our side is truly truly dreadful, there are barely 5/6 players who are good enough in it.

I feel really sorry for lambert. I really thought he was on to something

But he's finished here now. And I'm not optimistic about next season whatever happens. We've lost our best player for most of the season and we need players throughout the entire side. It's going to have to involve some loan signings and bargains as well as some six million pound plus signings
