What does Lambert mean by ''It's a bit different, but I respect him'' regarding the announcement? Different as in he hasn't told the manager what the future holds? Or different as in a hair brain crackpot scheme that involves Lerner still in control doing fuck all watching us drift to another beating on an internet stream once a week?

Listening to that Lambert interview, looks like Randy isnt wasting any time with the takeover news then. Announcement in the next 6 days or so

While I was in the pub watching tonight's match it was surprising how many people came and asked me how I felt about Anschutz taking over and Klinsmann as head coach.
My stock answer was come and ask me after Randy has made his statement. Either there are a lot of ITK's out there or they had all been on TBAR prior to the game.
Yes I know all about 'there's no smoke without fire' but in this case I'll believe it when the flames are licking around my feet.

I havn't speculated on anything so far but i would find it very strange that Lerner would let all this speculation fly around if there wasn't some truth in it.I know he rarely makes statements but i think he would have said something to shut people up.

The part I do not understand is why the wait until the season is over, we are safe and lets be fair the cynic in me says the season ended first week In Feb, when we did not invest. I know nothing about financial rules on take overs or the like, but is there a period when an announcement could not be made, due to legal obligations, fair this and fair that, so that is the reason where it could not be announced until after a certain date.
Also those saying it would have come out by now, the one thing we should have learned from Randy, is that cards are held very close to his chest.

I don't share the vitriol of others and I feel sorry for him - though I don't go to the games that often!

I think his time probably is up but I think he can come back stronger

As for villa I feel like I did when MON left. We need a change, it could be good for good for us, but the risks are more on the downside than upside. There are plenty more Vincent tans and shahid khans than there are roman abramovich's. Plenty.

We just haven't recovered since the MON era have we? It feels like we need to have some painful closure so that we can all move on. Like being dumped by a wasteful fiancee. Thought it would last for ever but once the going got tough she fecks off and you realise you're now broke becauyse the mad cow was spending cash on rubbish like Clark's shoes and nearly new dresses that a few people had manhandled of the rails. Then she just left them in the wardrobe. Ever since then it's been bad girlfriend decision after another. One was classic looking but was still hankering after her ex. One was boring but because you nicked from someone you didn't like you hoped it'd work out. The most recent one you just wanted it to work because you fancied her when she was elsewhere. It's been great at times but when it's been bad it's been dreadful. Time for that chat I think.

If you think back to this time last year, almost everyone was of that opinion. To lose support so comprehensively he'd have needed to royally screw it up, and that is what has happened.
