I think it's safe to say he's not going to be our manager next season.

Interesting comments about it not being good enough, too.

He comes across as a decent guy. Just not worked out has it?! That last comment was telling. If he was sticking around he'd be saying I'm going to put it right next year etc. as with McLeish, he looks almost relieved it's over.

Just need to wait and see what Randy has in store for us. Gulp.

I think he looks frustrated more than anything.

He knows the potential down the Villa but knows he's made mistakes and not been backed financially.

I bet he's feeling pretty pissed off all round tbh.

It's gutting it hasn't worked out for him, I was sure he could do a job for us. It was an impossible task in all fairness to him. At least for the next fella that curse of the wage bill has been massively reduced now.

And Taylor this

As I thought really. Couldn't keep defending like that for 90 mins. #MCFC far too strong. Roll on the summer...... Get things sorted. #AVFC

Funny things is, Lambert did. Twice. And then we conceded three goals in quick order :(

Here it is in video form.

Poor guy. He seems nice. Just not good enough, though, and football isn't a place in which to venture to the outer bounds of niceness and generosity - something Lerner's discovered.

It was 2-0 at the time. Never seen Stan tweet during a game before. Was just surprising he tweeted Brian Doogan and the official site

I am sure he was as frustrated as we all were. Probably Lambert as well. Sadly as soon as we ventured out of our shell we got punished in quick order.

Hopefully the club will get a lot of money this summer. It will be tough to stay in it, let alone progress if we do not.

That last part makes me like him a lot more. I believe he must be incredibly frustrated it hasn't worked out. I think he knew he was off when he stopped towing the party line in interviews and started talking about how things weren't good enough and the club needed investment. Sad as his tenure started with such enthusiasm from all concerned. The depths we have sunk though have been pretty horrific.
