Was hard to be honest, never been in that much pain, worse bit was I got the train home (back to Hull) a hour and half after finishing... and of course it was full so couldn't stretch out. I can't wait to get back running to be honest missed it so much!!

I once took about an hour to get out of my car after getting back home from doing London - every time I moved an inch I got the most excrutiating cramp, felt as if I'd been shot

What as your best time in your 6 times? Mine was 4:19:39 I was heading for around 3.35 before the hamstrings went, and it was my first marathon also...

I think the safest thing if you look at other fora, and probably the most respectful approach, is not to comment on any of them about any of the others. I've always been happy to peruse a range of them over the years and that now includes TBAR. Where you rank them in order of preference is entirely down to the individual

That's sensible.

The 'friendly atmosphere' there is a bit creepy though. It's like a cuckolds' support group. If Les Denis was a Villa fan he'd have more posts than eastie.

2 hours 50 mins, but I mostly did around 3 to 3.15. That would have been fantastic for your first time and amazing as it was given your predicament

I once walked to the shop.

Never again.

If only Villa could find a club equivalent of TBAR that we could unload all our unwanted useless players to.

Especially the real dullards.

Yep suppose your right Percy, the ones that have gone over there and given us (the fans) the 'ITK' of the takeover talks happening weeks before anyone else reported it, including the news and media and the Culverhouse story but yep fair enough, you do have a point. I really don't get the bashing between other villa sites, aren't we all here for the same reason to support our club?

Yeah, my life would have been complete if I'd heard rumours of a takeover ages ago. Oh, hang on a minute, I had.

Thank you my friend. Better park it there, as the running thread is in Off Topic I think! Get 'better' soon and don't run too quickly again with those hamstrings, give them a few weeks and ease back in gently, no speed work either

Oh fantastic Percy, glad your life is now complete. Mine is missing a few more ££ in the bank Michelle Keegan in my bed and a football team who can beat a few teams and have performances to match!

You'd struggle to drive round there that quickly. Respec', as I believe the young people say.

I'm certainly not getting involved in any of the politics here BUT the bit I don't get is why getting the news a few hours/days earlier makes any difference. Surely it's the quality and diversity of debate that counts?

I actually said that to a few people, I wonder what the time is for a car to make the journey on a average day around London, I'm sure someone has done it.
