I cant see Thompsons taking us over. The sales of the Beano and the Dandy are not buoyant enough.

We should make a list of the takeover rumours we have had over the years. In no particular order;

1) Padfield QC
2) Ransom
3) Neville from Solihull
4) Comer brothers
5) Venezuelan magnate
6) Red Bull
7) Some Qataris
8 ) Gillett & Hicks
9) This current rumour

10 ) Stan Stennett

The People's Friend is a much overlooked money spinner that people don't take into account.  I think the stumbling block could be their plans to change the strip to red and black horizontal hoops and rename the stadium Oor Wullie Park.

There is a joke in here and. I can't get hold of it.  We could re name ourselves The Broons and move to Cleveland.

The last time I was so excited about the Villa, we had just taken Gilles de Bilde on loan.

I'm sure the credibility of that site will diminish pretty quickly if it turns out to be a load of bollocks.

But by that time all the people who signed up will want to back for more of that biscuit banter.

Let's just say for the sake of argument that a deal to sell the club is 'imminent' and 'signed, sealed and awaiting delivery', it would be widespread news by now, not just restricted to one newly set up fans forum. In these days of 24 hour social media, it would be near enough impossible to keep a deal of that magnitude quiet.

With regard to eastie's form you have to ask yourself is going on another forum and having sly digs at people on here any worse than being on here regularly and being thoroughly obnoxious to others but never being banned for it.  For all its faults I love H and V but others may want something different.

Good points, well made

If you get banned I'm presuming you can still access the site as a guest ?

The site can be set as read-only or fully blocked for that username. HD is open to all guests.

And as a guest I'm sure he's loving the attention which is what he craves.
