A Villa win would be great but what's even better is the fact that 12 months after our defeat there confirmed their title win  - this year a win for us will make it mathematically impossible for them to retain it.

Ironic!

The Yanited forum looks more bleak than this place in January 2013, with comments such as this:

Easy three points.

3-1 Villa.

And this one;

I expect a Villa win. The only team we have beaten at OT in the league since for ages is Cardiff. Basically, any half-decent team is pretty much favourites at Old Trafford at present, and Villa fall into that bracket I think. Coupled with the fact that players are likely to be rested for Tuesday, I think they'll win. Their trio of Westwood, Delph and El Ahmadi will overrun us in the midfield and their front three will kill us with speed and strength.

Poor little lambs. I hope we smash the bastards.

Ha! They used to think they were invincible now they're scared of El-Ahmadi!

I would love to join in with all this schadenfreude about Man U but until 2.45 tomorrow I am holding my tongue as I don't want to tempt fate on another arse-kicking.

This is either going to be a laughing stock against the mighty Villa or a laughing stock against a dire United. Your guess is as good as mine.

Bollocks to that I'm taking every chance I can to put the boot in and will continue to do so even if we get beaten tomorrow.

I fear it will be the same as it usually is when Villa go to Old Trafford ,a home win. I read somewhere that Rooney has not scored at OT since October. What better team to come up against than Villa to end that record .United 3 Villa 1

Didn't mean injured, just not playing.

Me too. I think they will beat us. I would love to be wrong but too many kicks where it hurts from them over the years has made me very negative when we play them.
