We are so bizarre.  Barely did anything yet scored four goals and then for a ten minute spell start swaggering with El Ahmadi suddenly everywhere.

Brilliant stuff. All 4 of the 5 goals by current and future Villa players

*applause*

Still think Hoolahan would make a good squad player for us.

he would. He's different to the current group of midfielders. I'd get Hoolahan and another player like him but younger and better.

I'm well unclenched after that half. It's in the bag now and it's time to climb the table. I'm talking about the game/team now, not my arse.

This has turned from our worst performance to our best performance perhaps even so far under Lambert. This is absolutely brilliant.
It's still got a way to go to match Sunderland I'd say.

I actually think this is better than Sunderland so far. The Sunderland one had a bit more fortune about some of the goals, whereas these have all been really quite good. Even the own-goal had terrific movement to set up the chance. According to the Beeb we've had 60% of the ball, which we've turned into four goals. I don't think we've ever dominated like this under Lambert.

See pass and move and we look alright. Since our first goal KEA has been great.

Where has this performance come from?

I've always said this team aren't half as bad as Lambert makes them.

well what a mad half

Norwich take the lead , look like getting a second

Villa awful

Lambert is big trouble

a fantastic goal from nowhere from the big man to give us a lift and then score another 3

this should save our season and might be another sunderland and the fans deserve it.

it can only happen with Villa

I have to say I still don't rate KEA, but I'd love to see the stats on his coverage, he's everywhere.

Yes, he's the type  of player who can go for another year or two at the top level. Would give us an additional option.

Never saw that coming at all.  Benteke creating a chance for himself out of absolutely nothing is what he's been missing since last season.  And the surge of confidence it gave him and us was palpable.  Rode that wave all the way to half time.

If we can get another 4 we'll be 10th again! Palace and Cardiff currently losing as well.
