Just flicked on the Madrid derby during half-time. One of the coaches is confronting the referee.  He's a big bloke and 6/7 are struggling to restrain him!

I decided not to undertake the 250 mile round trip today after a busy weekend. I thought it would be a poor game with two nervy teams playing dross.
My decision obviously brought about a change in Villa fortunes ...

Just had a text from a mate who is at the game and is also a Norwich fan.   He reckons they will collapse even further if we keep going at them.

I hope he's right.

I'm glad this is happening at home. Our fans at Villa Park deserve some goals, some good football and some entertainment from us.

I won't count my chickens until FT.  Remember the Leicester 4-4.  Vlaar looks shakey.
Vlaar's defended well IMO; his distribution has been a little flaky.

Wet cold happy. 4 North Stand goals. Marvellous. Told you my new home shirt would bring us luck.

I hope we give Stoke a good roasting too. It'd be nice to finish with a bit of a flourish at Villa Park this season. Certainly we should be beating anyone in the bottom 10 on our own patch.

You should have read my pre-match score prediction - 4-1. I was going to go for a 6-1 win but thought people would think I was taking the piss.

Benteke looks a great bet for a hat trick - I'd expect holt to get 20 minutes or so as well.

Yeah ... wonder who's sitting in my season ticket seat today?

Indeed they do - been a long time since we had a comfortable lead and could relax and enjoy the show.

Let's hope for some more in the 2nd half; rebuild the goal diff and give the players a shot of confidence.

I was offered a ticket for today, turned it down to spend some time with the family and that. Poor timing maybe. Looks like a game worth being at.
