Quote from: silhillvilla on February 23, 2014, 10:55:47 PMHats off to all the villa fans that travelled up and down the country today . Heard you load and clear on TV and thank you all for being a credit to the club again today.I was chatting to Newcastle friends after the game and they said they'd heard us throughout the game, even though we were right up in the top tier. I thought our support today was excellent and, to be fair, the team deserved it in the first half. But at the end the Villa fans left in angry silence

This merely echoes what a number of people have said above, but what really annoys me about yesterday's game is that we were actually fairly decent first half, while Newcastle were very poor indeed after some pressure early on. Giving the ball away all over the park, losing ground in midfield and clearly lacking confidence. So in those circumstances, what would you expect to happen after the break? More pressure, a quick goal and then finish them off? So the second half was especially galling.KEA, Bennett....Jesus, these are anti-footballers. And Benteke's touch was criminal at times yesterday. He does deserved to be dropped on that performance.

If you are a Norwich player or supporter is there any team in the country you would rather play after that great win yesterday than Aston Villa at Villa Park? Hughton will be winding them up all week. Needs some key players to stand up and be counted!
