If you are a Norwich player or supporter is there any team in the country you would rather play after that great win yesterday than Aston Villa at Villa Park?

This, sadly.

Needs some key players to stand up and be counted!

and our manager.

And our owner.

Don't forget the General, I'm sure he's as consumed by the pain of it all as we are folks

You could turn that around though as we've beaten them the last three times we've played them.

What about Nicky Keyes? Has anybody stopped to consider her in all of this?

Brief point of order about the game:

Now, I don't really like to criticise Vlaar too much as he has held us together as a team when he has been fit, but Newcastle's goal ultimately stemmed from him fucking about with the ball on our byline which ended with Remy nearly scoring.

We never composed ourselves after that and the panic spread until their scrappy winner went in.

All so infuriatingly unnecessary.

This merely echoes what a number of people have said above, but what really annoys me about yesterday's game is that we were actually fairly decent first half, while Newcastle were very poor indeed after some pressure early on. Giving the ball away all over the park, losing ground in midfield and clearly lacking confidence. So in those circumstances, what would you expect to happen after the break? More pressure, a quick goal and then finish them off? So the second half was especially galling.

KEA, Bennett....Jesus, these are anti-footballers. And Benteke's touch was criminal at times yesterday. He does deserved to be dropped on that performance.

To me there seemed too many players going through the motions yesterday , newcastle were there for the taking and we sat back and let them off the hook- after a decent enough 1st half the second half display was totally gutless and several players should hang their heads in shame .

We don't know how to win games. That and Cardiff were 6 points on a plate and we come out with 1 and no goals. Shameful.

And still people call some of our future games 'winnable'. We need some almighty bollockings being handed out.
Time is not really on our side now. I mentioned during January that we needed battlers to keep us in this division. We did not get them, although Holt was supposedly brought in to provide some of that. It is bottlers, not battlers, that we have. The 65/75 minute subs are so O'Neill-like that I begin to wonder if Lambert is still taking tips from him. The live, in game, betting is the way for me now. Everything with us is so predictable.

Newcastle are a very awkward team to watch, no flow to their football at all.

God knows what the neighbours must think as i was absolutely raging all through that abomination of a game. I was told several times to calm down by the missus and the kids came in the room to have a laugh.

My views based on game and this season

Guzan - As good as anyone  - keep for the future

Bacuna - OMG - Apart from a couple of free kicks what the fuck does he contribute. Cannot tackle, cannot head the ball, goes missing for huge periods and fanny's around until the inveitible pass backwards - get rid as just not good enough

Baker - worries me that he dives in at least once in every game. At best he will certainly get a red at some point at worsthe will yet again injure himself. Significantly better than Clark - keep for future

Vlaar - at times looks a world beater, others a clown - not sure where the "leader" comments come from he is almost mute on the pitch -  a decent world cup and he will be off

Bertrand - started ok and i can only assume it is the appalling tactics of our clown of a manager that stops him from driving to the byline and whipping crosses over

Westwood - An obviously talented player who is going backwards due to the shite around him

Delph - everytime i speak of him as showing now the player we all thought he would be - he regresses into the headless chicken again- he is getting caught every game now in possession and its costing us

KEA - has the odd good game - always away from home so at least has some virtues (but not enough to think he is the future) bin him

Weinmann - flatters to deceive - simply not good enough at this level - if we want work rate - but a greyhound

Benteke - When he is hot - unplayable - when he is not at it - unwatchable. How we can have a player like him and not know how to use him and his talents is almost criminal

Gabby - yes he is a grafter, yes he is loyal and yes he is local - but fuck me it ends there. Yesterday he looked like a faster version of Heskey - brain dead on positioning, movement. His control meant he was trapping the ball further than i can kick it. Just the "thickest player" i have every seen on his decision making a complete waste of space. The fact that he has been around since DOL and he nor anyone else actually knows where he should play says it all - too comfortable for him ATM

Everyone else

Bennet - His hairdo sums it up really - get rid
Tonev - has he disappeared?
Bowery - as Tonev
Grant - whatever we are paying him - you have to question why
Helenius - How can he not get a chance ATM
Clark - error stricken
Albrighton - the best player we have when he does not play (or so some fans think) - whenever he gets a run he goes to shit  - again 4 managers cannot get him to step up - he is not good enough

The Manager (i stuggle to even write that as his title)

The prime function of a football manager is to

a/ Define the shape and style of football we are to play
b/ Buy / select the players needed to fit into that system / style of play
c/ Ensure that they are fit,  conditioned and well prepared for that style of play
d/ Ensure that they are well drilled and practice relentlessly towards the goals outlined in (a)
e/ To identify areas of the team / squad that need changing year on year as part of a continuous improvement plan
f/ To identify weaknesses in the players/ team / shape and man manage / motivate / inspire them to turn any bouts of poor form around.

Paul Lambert - you have failed on every single prime function

It is often quoted that in most professions people get promoted to a point of incompetence as they exceed their level of ability - its not always their fault

But if you have any dignity left  - Please just go

And us...?  We are the visual equivalent of nails on a blackboard.  I honestly don't think there is a worse footballing side in the league than us.  We are bloody awful.

We are shit aren't we.

Manager / CEO / Owner

All 3 are as bad as it gets.

One's totally clueless, one is an ex employee of the owner and the owner has given up.
