Credit to the Albion on this one, good signing. Did we need him? Not if Okore is fit to start the season imo.If Lescott was that great he probably wouldn't have spent the last twelve months warming the bench.

Can't believe we've allowed that to happen as he's just what we need at the back. How have we "allowed it to happen"? What we were supposed to do to prevent it? Kidnap him? Nuke The Hawthorns? Erm, sign him? Offer the going rate for a defender as good as him, perhaps? He was available and on a free transfer. We should have signed him, it's a simple as that, but yet again we went for the cheaper option.

But I'm not really saying that Senderos is a marquee signing, just that I can't get too worked up about the fact that we haven't signed Lescott.
All of the above being said, you just KNOW he's going to score for THEM in front of the Holte. And then celebrate like it was the winner in the World Cup Final.
Nick Mashiter from the E&SNick Mashiter @nmashiter_star 32m#avfc unable/unwilling to offer wages Lescott wanted, which weren't astronomical.Nick Mashiter @nmashiter_star 31mBut #avfc couldn't match #wba for wages for Lukaku loan two years ago so certainly wouldn't be able to beat them now.And that says it all, really.
