Depends on which Villa turn up. If its the Liverpool Villa 0-3 if its the negative attitude Villa waiting for something to happen 1-1. Hope this Portugal break has regenerated everyone ......

Dunno.  When I think we'll get hammered, we don't.  When I think we'll win, we don't.

So I think we'll win.  But whether that's because I actually believe we'll get hammered or actually believe we'll win, I don't know.  I'm very confused.

My Mrs has got her sister up here for the weekend.

Tomorrow, they're going out for lunch with their (dreadful) mother. Normally, that is the sort of engagement I'd do anything to get out of. Given that our game is on at lunchtime, that's my excuse this time around, highly convenient, but if I am being honest, I was tempted, for a short while, to take the lunch with the mother in law option.

They're going somewhere pleasant, the food would be nice. It's a Sunday, I could take the paper and not appear hugely ignorant by sitting there, reading it.

I'm not going to lie, I was very tempted to take that option.

How did things get this bad, Villa?

Mother In Law > The Villa.
Possibly the most depressing summation of our situation at the moment. ;)

I think we'll lose 3-1.  All the results yesterday were pretty good for us and they're on a bad run so we are usually the team to oblige in situations like that.

Nigel Kennedy is playing at the end of the Andrew Marr Show, about 9.55 on BBC1. Apart from the Villa shirt, he still looks a bit of a state.

I hope the result isnt the same as when we played them up there in March 1927. We lost a keenly fought encounter 7-5!

Mind you Pongo got a couple.

I have a rare Sunday off today and used to get excited about match days but today I will watch the game but have lost that excitement i used to feel about a villa game - that saddens me.

I feel the same way. I almost dread match days now and I can't quite explain it. There have been arguably worse Villa sides than this but I don't remember having less confidence in one.
