Newcastle United v Aston Villa Pre Match thread

23/02/14 1.30pm

Live on SS1.

Two struggling teams. A dull game. I'm going with 1-1.

Actually, thinking about it, I have only set up the pre match thread once this season, and that was the win at Sunderland.

I therefore predict I am going to cause us to win in the north east again.

1-0 to us.

the only predictable thing about this game is that the Villa will be unpredictable.....

if we keep a clean sheet, we will win....therefore 2-2....

Pardew then gets sacked....not by e-mail but by carrier pigeon.

I'd take a point. A point would leave us only needing about three  more wins and surely we can manage that?

He won't get sacked - Vince McMahon will run into the technical area and take him out with a steel chair.

Great stuff. Long may it continue. I'm not prepared to jinx things by adding a poll so could you do the honours?

I think we've got a really good chance here. It's an away game against a side who've just lost the one player who really made them play, namely Cabaye, on a nice big pitch with space to counterattack into. This is a Lambertian game, so I'm hoping for a 2-1 win.

Really looking forward to going up on Sunday.  The players aren't playing for Pardew at the moment and we're due a win against Newcastle and at St. James'! 1-3 Vlaar, Albrighton and Benteke

If the rumours are true that Pardew has lost the dressing room then we must have a great chance. Therefore football logic says 3-0 home win.

Score draw. Both sides seem to be struggling for wins lately. Poor in attack, not great in defence. 1-1 or 2-2. Hopefully Benteke turns up.
