They've quite a talent pool up there. Is it down to the strength of the Yorkshire Leagues?

Certainly plays a part but I think the arrival of Jason Gillespie has had a huge impact, he's prepared to give young players a chance.

85 for 8 now, really enjoying watching Radhid bowl, he's almost unplayable today.

Has his hand been forced with Balance, Root & Plunkett in the England squad and Bresnan & Bairstow on the fringes of the squad? the loss of that sort of talent would leave a hole in many teams.

it proves that if you're good enough then you're old enough. Too many managers/coaches shy away from selecting young players.

Absolutely, Gillespie has been brilliant for Yorkshire, can see him coaching Australia in the future.

He's a good guy is Gillespie. Always been a genuine no shit kind of guy who always gives 100%

I've read that Bell and Woakes will be available for the Bears for T20 finals day but if it goes to the reserve day because of the weather then they may be withdrawn because there's an ODI on the Monday.

The Bears are also looking at bringing in Shoaib Malik for finals day. He's available and wants to return but the logistics of a trip half way around the world for a day of cricket may prevent it.

Some fantastic striking from Chopra but in particular Laurie Evans in the remaining 6 overs of the innings - total made 218-2
