That's very impressive, 2 centuries in 7 matches as an 18year old.

Has anyone seen the state of Craig Kieswetter's face after one got through his grill?  It's on the BBC and it's not pleasant, poor guy.

I saw that. It's pretty horrific.

62 for 3 at stumps.
Have lost quite a bit of time with rain and bad light.
5 bonus batting points.

Warwickshire's Sam Hain adds to growing reputation with century against Durham

Durham (62-3) trail Warwickshire (472) by 410 runs

By Tim Wellock, Emirates Durham ICG

9:30PM BST 14 Jul 2014

On the evidence of Sam Hain’s second century in seven first-class games, two days before his 19th birthday, England may have to consider selecting another Australia-raised batsman. “He doesn’t qualify for another three years,” observed James Whitaker, the national selector, although he had good reason to be impressed by the right-hander’s composure in the face of some hostility.

Durham’s Australian, John Hastings, was convinced he had Hong Kong-born Hain lbw without addition to his overnight 12, otherwise he never looked like getting out.

Although he has played for Australia Under-19s, Hain has British parents and said, after his maiden century against Northamptonshire last month, that he is committed to England.

Graham Onions tried to unsettle him by bowling round the wicket with a short-leg and leg-slip, but an upper cut for his 12th four took Hain to his hundred off 188 balls. He remained unbeaten on 109 and his only risky stroke was his final one, a skied hook which Gordon Muchall caught with his feet just over the rope.

Onions may have interested Whitaker on his return from a two-month lay-off but finished with one for 121, while spin-bowling candidate Scott Borthwick was hit for two sixes in an over by Rikki Clarke. The leg-spinner did pick up three wickets for his best championship analysis for over a year.

Clarke’s 71-ball 50 was full of high-class strokes in a seventh-wicket stand of 101, which ended when he edged a drive to allow Hastings to complete his first five-wicket haul for Durham.

He was the only seamer to make an impression on the placid pitch before the elements conspired to give Paul Collingwood further reason to regret his decision to field.

After the match’s first session was washed out Warwickshire batted under clear skies, but Durham’s reply was twice interrupted by rain and bad light.

When they had to come back out for 12 overs they struggled against Keith Barker’s left-arm swing as he flattened Keaton Jennings’ off stump and had Michael Richardson caught at second slip.

We haven't won at Durham for ages. It would be very nice to finally win up there.
