Why do we always defend like we are defending a 1-0 lead in the last 5 minutes of an FA Cup semi?   It's desperate stuff, constantly.

Westwood needs to actually do something.

Is he playing tonight?  I genuinely didn't know.

It's difficult for him to give our play any tempo when the ball is spending most of its time about 5 metres above his head, floated forward by Baker or the FBs towards Benteke...

Oh, absolutely.  I just didn't know he was playing.

I don't think it matters what formation we play or who Lambert puts where, this squad is not good enough.

It would be nice to see the occasional contribution to the Villa team from Westwood. He truly is one of the most anonymous Villa players ever.

He's like a Poundland Sidwell.

So, hit the woodwork twice, pen turned down, goal ruled out.

And we're much much better away.

Before today we were 10th in the "away matches only" table, so I think that horse bolted a long time ago.

We haven't looked like scoring at all yet, but look like conceding a ton

You see I think that Delph and Westwood have got the skills to get more of a hold of midfield

But not playing this 442. There aren't enough options for them.

I just don't get it.

Whatever your stance on Lambert, why are we talking to him about a new contract when he's got 18 months left and we are this shit?

Yep.

Doesn't change the fact that we are much better away - mostly because we're horrible at home.

How did all that bollocks about Lambert being an innovative, forward-thinking, modern football coach start?
