So, hit the woodwork twice, pen turned down, goal ruled out.

And we're much much better away.

Before today we were 10th in the "away matches only" table, so I think that horse bolted a long time ago.

Westwood needs to actually do something.

To be fair he does point a lot

We look like a fucking pinball machine. Every time the ball touches one of us it flies off at pace at an angle you couldn't have predicted.

There is no game plan here. I guarantee if you put a 1st division side out there tonight there still would be more shape to their game and at least the tiniest idea of what each player is expected to do.

Our 11 look headless.

We need a leader. Even if we go on to win tonight, this and this whole 20 months reign has been shambolic.

The 442 isn't working. It was to begin with

A goal is coming here isn't it? We need to change the pattern of the game. Shuffling it wide for Alby to float a cross in from half way through their half every five minutes isn't working. And gabby and benteke aren't holding it up well enough

Absolutely right.  Benteke and Gabby have both been shite so far tonight and we are getting outplayed in midfield.

We've not had a natural pointer since the absolute world class pointing duo which was Zat Knight and NRC. The pointing spine of the team.

Is he playing tonight?  I genuinely didn't know.

It's difficult for him to give our play any tempo when the ball is spending most of its time about 5 metres above his head, floated forward by Baker or the FBs towards Benteke...

I just don't get it.

Whatever your stance on Lambert, why are we talking to him about a new contract when he's got 18 months left and we are this shit?

Far too many last ditch clearances and challenges needed by villa.
All the momentum and confidence is with Cardiff.

We are losing virtually every individual battle.
It is so depressing to watch

It would be nice to see the occasional contribution to the Villa team from Westwood. He truly is one of the most anonymous Villa players ever.
