I truly feel the only chance we have of survival is if the manager goes. We're not going to suddenly start creating a hatful of chances so fresh ideas are the only solution. If it's the last thing Randy Lerner does for Villa before getting out then please do it. I don't think people would hold it against him if it still didn't work come the end of may.

Randy isn't going to sell Villa at a Championship rate if he's holding out for ~£125m. This whole thing is just diabolical.

I thought it was irony or word play.

I think the poster's sense of irony is confined entirely to his user name.

I'd be interested to hear from the 5 people who voted not to sack Lambert.

What's their motivation?

I'm not one but perhaps the fact there is no viabel alternaitive?? How is out there and who would really want to be under Lerner's employ? it's all too depressingly ineviatble that we have been fatally holed below the waterline and now we are sinking - fast - and no-one can save us.

I'd have thought the generous salary on offer, and the half decent squad (if properly managed)  would be enough to tempt a few managers with belief in their ability to give it a go.  In any case the secret love child of Gary Megson, Bryan Robson, TSM and Brian Laws could hardly fuck it up more than Lambert is doing alone.  I even reckon things would improve  if he wasn't replaced with anyone, or with the tea lady.

The funny thing is, I didn't read that as an insult to me but to Lerner himself. Maybe had it read "Lerner, prick" I might have.

Expecting correct grammar from someone who can't spell our owners name correctly is probably a tad optimistic.

Maybe he can't spell LeeB either, I'm not suggesting you are a prick* but did you consider that?

*You're not.
