Kendrick's article doesn't go anywhere near enough. Not bad, but I think the silly comments make it lack credibility.
And it's been tempered by the latest meaning evil, Aston Villa (stooge) reporter.
He suggest that lamber should stay, not because the football might improve, but because he has been half decent in the transfer market.

Unless the 'stooge' reporter wants to be blaclkisted from Villa Park and Bodymoor, therefore no Villa reporting in the Mail, he has to find some ridiculous way to defend the status quo. I think he may have just got away with it.

It is no coincidence that Kendrick being so outspoken comes not long after he moves off the Villa beat and onto the general online football one.

I don't mean that in an insulting or derogatory way towards him, either, more a "well what do people expect?" thing.

I seem to remember Kendrick becoming explicitly anti-Lambert a few weeks before the end of last season, not long before he got moved off the Villa reporter job.

Not really a coincidence since Lambert started ignoring Kendricks weekly jabs.

It was best for everyone. The Mail couldn't keep a reporter who openly has contempt for the manager and is in turn ignored by the manager every week.

Kendrick is a real Villa fan and a top bloke. I don't rate him as much of a writer. Edit: Although come to think of it he is a pretty good live commentator.

What's the betting that if the Holte End is empty for the first 8 minutes that we somehow manage to score a goal?

I don't mind the articles giving him a small defence, the fans have stuck with him for a long time because we see those same restrictions, but you can't hide everything behind those and at least the press seem to be coming to that same realisation now.  The change is pretty clear, we had a long period of the reports saying he was doing as well as could be expected in a tough job so the shift to "not meeting expectations even with those restrictions" is welcome, hopefully the board will start paying attention to this and start putting some pressure on him.

Yes, but maybe the best chance of Lambert going is if real attention is also focused on Lerner.

Not one word against Lambert is there which I find quite strange. Maybe that Brian Reade hasn't watched the football we've watched this season.

Lambert has worked under constraints with fee's and wages , which is why he has not had the fans turn on him after so many horrible results. Now 2 and a half years into his time here and the team isn't that bad certainly not the worst the league and yet currently our performances are.

I get impression Lerner feels he owe's Lambert time has he took on a job that other's declined but there is a point surely when he has to see this is just not working. The performance against Leicester wasn't down to lack of money it was down to poor management.
