Micky Quinn on Talksports says Lambert is doing his job by keeping us in the top flight and that things wont change until he is given more money. Cant believe the bullshit that man spouts.

Quinn knows the sum of fuck all.

I find it strange that the worse we get the more vote for him to stay 10% now skullduggery?

Ok, I'm sure in a way that is Lambert's job, to keep us in the Premiership without much outlay. However I still believe 100% that the team at nearly full strength which it's been for the last four games or so should at least have taken more points, created more chances and actually put the ball in the back of the net.
This team should be producing a lot more than it has been. This has to be the fault of our manager and coaching staff.

Like Luna, Cissokho started the season well, but also like Luna, it turns out this was an abberration.

Bertrand started really well when he joined but seemed to go backwards as the season wore on.

Well he's playing well now at Southampton, so perhaps he goes into the 'good player ruined by Lambert' file.

I genuinely think that the only player to have improved since Lambert arrived is Delph.  And I think that's happened despite Lambert, not because of him.

Possibly because he's not carrying the long-term effects of injury?

Agreed. The team that he puts out are more than capable of beating teams in this division, especially those like Leicester. The fault for these morose and insipid displays lie at the feet of this manager and his so-called coaching staff.

We've come to the point where doing nothing means taking relegation. Lerner must surely know that.

Thing is that is classic football punditry. One person once mentioned a lack of funds and now virtually all pundits trot out that line without actually thinking or looking further.

Quinn is unfortunately, shamefully right I'm afraid.

Why would Lerner go throught the cost and hassle of replacing him?

We won't go down. Not this season. Yes, it will be tighter than it should be. Same as the last three seasons. Four actually. And yes, one day we'll have played Russian Roulette too long and we'll suffer the consequences. But, logically and hand on heart I can't see it being this season.

Teams below winning yesterday was just something that happens EVERY season. A mini revival. We're In a dog fight with 8 teams. Changing managers won't work for all those that have - same as it didn't work for Fulham last year.

Grit your teeth and bear it until the summer. Hen absolutely it has to go. But go for the right man, not just a mid-season knee jerk get the "available not the best man" in approach.

Cissokho is poor - Lambert can't spot a left back to save his life. Cresswell at West Ham should have been the one he signed 18 months ago.

I wouldn't be so blase.  We're 3 points clear of relegation and will pick up zero points from the next 3 matches.  I can see us being in the relegation spots by mid-Feb.

Quinn is a typical Talksport pundit. Outside of the top 4 and his beloved Liverpool, he hasn't got a clue. If 'The Mighty Reds YNWA' lose a couple of games, he goes into meltdown and blabs like a big baby.

We have been here before, same debates same worries. 3rd season on the trot under Lambert. Can we go back to not worrying about relegation and enjoy watching our team again?

Mick Quinn knows what he is talking about. Lambert is looking after the Villa about as well as Quinn looked after his racehorses.

Good to see Deano's Mullet put an unnecessary s on Talksport in the good old Tescos/Nigel Spinks tradition.
