I agree there are some decent goals in there . Which makes it even more mystifying how he has changed approach .

I think he will be gone next weekend. We will probably lose against the bindippers and play atrociously (not that I wish for either) and a big crowd at VP will then unleash their feelings for this idiot in a way that cannot be ignored any further even by that dozy uncaring pillock of a chairman we have
Hmmm, I'm not so sure.
Remember, we can't possibly expect to beat teams from the top 10 (is it now) so I think he has got 3 free games coming up.

I think it's more that we got found out a bit. We've been short of creativity for years and the BENTEKE, gabby and WEIMANN front line that looked great for a bit is looking worse and worse

Its obvious things are not going to improve as we are. For that reason he has to go.

That's it exactly for me. I supported him longer than most and it was in the hope we'd see more of what we were seeing in infuriatingly short glimpses. Under Lambert we've scored some of the best goals i've seen Villa score. But we are getting worse, a lot worse, and I don't have any faith in him turning it around now.

Just out of interest - which goals were they then ?
Off the top of my head I'd have Lowton's against Stoke, and the goal scored against Sunderland at home from Lowton's cross-field ball. A good few of Benteke's have been superb also.

In that first season:
WEIMANN at Liverpool, and BENTEKE
LOWTON at Stoke
BENTEKE at west brom
WEIMANN home v subderland
Vlaar v sunderland

We were an exciting side at the end of that season and we've been horrible to watch ever since

Lowton's first goal for us at home, another volley was superb too

If for no other reason than I'm snapping at the wife and two young kids, AGAIN, this prick has to go. Fuck sake. Every week. We actually started the season promisingly, like last season, only to see it slip into the usual bastard malaise with Lambert having no idea other than to tread water.

Dear General,

Do you think that Cleverley is just tossing it off until he turns up at Everton?

Do you think that Benteke is pissed off because he'd rather play football?

Do you think that Delph and Vlaar will have received substantial wage increases next season?

I know you're a busy man nowadays with lots of other stuff to do rather than bother yourself with what's happening at Villa Park but if you could spare a few moments it would be appreciated.

Best start for 12 years or something wasn't it?

Anyway I am the same family wise. The missus just had "the talk" with me about snapping at her and the kids. Her solution is "go pick a good team, not that loser team you watch every week that puts you in a bad mood."

err...

I'm glad it's not just me! Just had a row over an Olaf costume with the wife! Nothing to do with me being racked off with the Villa, no siree Bob. (She does kids parties in case you think I'm a weirdo who dresses up as Disney characters)

You'd hope that there's something in the contract about performance requirements.

Edit: Even allowing for the fact that the standard required is subjective.

I am just sat here quietly fuming. Which I think is scaring the family more than my usual rants. They are wondering when the grenade will go off. It won't. I will say my piece on here than enjoy my anniversary takeaway.

Cheers mate. Sixteen years married today.

Could have robbed a bank, done the time, dug up the loot and been living in the Bahamas by now.

Married, kids, having a curry, moaning about Villa on tinternet instead.

I used to be moody and snappy with Mrs K but weve been so shit for so long that I seem to have flatlined reaction wise, knowing Lambert stays no matter what has just destroyed me.

Good god, we have scored 11 goals in 21 league games. Surely if this man had any respect or dignity he'd walk for that stat alone?
