The gates more than the results will determine Lamberts future.

I argued the very point with the General that fans were of little significance anymore and it was the Sky money. Sadly he had so many acolytes that were starstruck on here that him disagreeing became an instant axiomatic truth.

I really think Randy has the club in his veins so to speak. It's just that he isn't very good at running it. The only think we can do is try and get the manager changed until it falls right because there's nothing we can do about Lerner if there simply isn't a buyer who wants to stump up the cash. With the FPP (or FFP) it's also very unlikely anyone with any serious money will want to buy us until we're at least stable and looking like we can challenge for Europe. That looks a long way away.

I know he gets a lot of stick, but Murphy is literally the only journalist that I've EVER heard directly asking Lambert the kind of questions that we've all been asking (namely the one about our forwards not moving and never making runs).

I also heard him interview Faulkner just after McLeish had gone, and he kept on pushing him when Faulkner said "with the benefit of hidsight" to Murphy's suggestion it was a mental appointment.

He'll get a flukey win next game and a fair few will be willing to give him more time!

Why worry about who will replace him? An empty space couldn't do much worse.

The question of a replacement was what kept me from wanting him out immediately, but your right, it honestly could not get any worse.

I'll just C&P what I wrote in post-match.

He's gorra go Tom.

1 goal and 1 win in our last 4 games and they were against bottom of the Championship Blackpool. When the other 3 games were Sunderland and Palace at home and Leicester away and we get zero goals and obviously zero wins then it really is unacceptable.

So how do we go about getting rid of him?  The results aren't convincing the owner, so what will?

I gave him the last 5 games to prove that he was worth sticking with. He's failed, quite spectacularly. He must go, although sadly, he won't.
